Personal Interests

Apart from playing Chess, I have two other passions: reading books and playing music.

Here’s a list of Top 10 books that I have enjoyed most in the past year!

1.  Eat the Rich: A Treatise on Economics – P. J. O’Rourke

2. Who Thought This Was a Good Idea? – Alyssa Mastromonaco.

3. Metamorphoses – Ovid

4. The Places in Between – Rory Stewart

5. Outliers – Malcom Gladwell

6. Me Talk Pretty One Day – David Sedaris

7. The Kennedy Detail – Gerald Blaine and Lisa McCubbin

8. All the Pretty Horses – Cormac McCarthy

9. The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks – Rebecca Skloot

10. Between the World and Me – Ta‐Nehisi Coates

One of my favorite hobbies is playing music. I have been playing the electric guitar for about a year, and the electric bass for about two years. I enjoy playing, and this motivates me to keep practicing. My classmates and I have also formed a band called Panorama, and jamming with them is always one of the highlights of my week.

In addition, I am currently taking a Capstone Class, one of my favorites this year: The Industry, Culture and Science of Music. The class involves studying how the industry of music has evolved over time, exploring real world applications of composition and linguistics, as well as sound engineering.
